ship’s log 7: welcome to the Netherlands!
After our big adventure of crossing the English Channel and finally arriving in the Netherlands, we still weren’t quite at our final destination. So, after a restful and well-deserved night’s sleep and a short visit from customs, we eagerly continued our journey heading north.
We were especially excited to navigate through the ‘Kanaal door Walcheren’. This charming canal features about six bridges and a lock at the end, which guides you into the beautiful Veerse Meer. There, we checked into a cozy marina for the night, taking a moment to unwind and to take a hot shower, before making the final leg of our trip to the Yachthaven Bruinisse, which will be Lív’s new home for the upcoming months.
